Boot camp was the first place she realized she could set herself apart as a fitness leader. She has maintained an Excellent score in all her Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) during her 14 years of Active Duty. Building on the military’s basic fitness requirements, Kat has experience from running marathons, triathlons, Crossfit, and bodybuilding competitions where she earned the coveted IFBB Pro status.
“I started following Pauline’s Fighter Diet concept when I was competing. She had a long list of things she did to keep herself motivated and stay fit. I printed out the 3 pages worth of tips and kept it by my bedside to read every day. One in particular stated that when she didn’t’ feel motivated, she still went to the gym and worked out until the motivation came back! I needed that when I’d get home from work and still had a 2nd round of cardio to do. It goes to prove here motto, “Discipline your dedication.” I’d go to the gym tired but once I got started with run or lift weights, I got some energy back! As I narrowed my focus to win and earn pro status, I kept her quotes in mind and had pictures of her working out as a visual of what I needed to be doing.” I got the Pro card
After a couple years of competing I realized it wasn’t for me. Strict dieting for women can be dangerous; it is “extreme” as Pauline calls it in her Contest Prep ebook. My body fat had gotten down to as low as 10%, probably lower closer to competition day. My body was not happy! I bought the Black Book and got a better understanding of what I was putting my body thru. I decided to go back to a normal lifestyle and focus on my military career…after all the objective is to be healthy right?
I’ve bought and used many of Paulines ebooks to get back to a normal lifestyle. I was enamored by her concept of EATING A LOT; a lot of veggies! Aside from the popular Butt Bible ebook, I also really like the Muscle Booster because it has workouts that we can all do in the military. I’ve actually used those when I lead PT (physical training). The Mind of Steal and Fat Loss by Mind Power are essential for everyone; you can apply those principles to everyday life. In order to succeed in life, you need to be aware of who you are, how u think and react to things and then learn to change your thoughts if you want to see change…those books are the foundation to any strategy.
I continue to follow Pauline’s Fighter Diet concept because she’s been there, done that, and now passing on her lessons learned to us. She’s lived thru the training and dieting mistakes we want to avoid. She does the research and provides accurate data. She does all the work for us, we just have to read, apply and succeed like she has.
