Emirati Mahmood Shalan Ready for Friday’s Dubai Fitness Championship under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Press Release - Dubai – December 12, 2013 – After becoming Red Bull’s first CrossFit athlete globally, 20 year old Emirati Mahmood Shalan is in the final stages of preparation for the Dubai Fitness Championship. The high stakes competition is set to take place on Friday December 13 at the Dubai Aviation Club, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
Speaking after one of his marathon training sessions, Shalan said: “I am very optimistic about my participation on Friday. The workouts are based on a long string of exercises that will take a lot of physical and mental strength to go through. I am well prepared, both physically and mentally, for the competition, and hope to walk away victorious.”
